The Chicago White Sox and the Cleveland Guardians meet Wednesday in MLB action from Progressive Field. Here’s a Cleveland Guardians vs Chicago White Sox prediction. This will be the second installment in a three-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the Game.

Chicago White Sox Betting Preview

Over the weekend the White Sox took on the Colorado Rockies. Chicago managed to win the first two Games of that set 5-3 and 11-3, but then took a 5-4 loss in the Sunday finale. On Tuesday versus the Guardians, the Sox took a tough loss 7-6. Chris Flexen posted 6.0 innings in the start with three earned.
In the starter role for the Wednesday Game two it’ll be Chicago’s Erick Fedde. This season so far Fedde is 5-3 with a 3.23 ERA in 17 starts. Over his 119 career Games (105 starts), Fedde is 26-36 with a 5.01 ERA.

Cleveland Guardians Betting Preview

Over on the Cleveland side, they took on the Kansas City Royals in their weekend series. The Guardians lost their first two matchups 2-1 and 10-3 before a 7-2 win Sunday stopped the sweep. On Tuesday Cleveland scored three runs in the sixth inning on the way to seven hits. Carlos Carrasco finished his start with 6.0 innings and three earned.

It’ll be Gavin Williams’ season debut in the starter role for the Guardians on Wednesday. Over his career in 16 starts Williams is 3-5 with a 3.29 ERA and 81 Ks in 82.0 innings.

Cleveland Guardians vs Chicago White Sox Prediction

I’ll take a stab on the White Sox here. It’ll be interesting to see what Williams can do in his season debut (following an elbow injury), though. As for Fedde, he’ll need some help after losing his last two starts. In that pair Fedde didn’t pitch too badly overall with six earned in 13.0 total innings on 10 hits and two walks.

On Tuesday the White Sox were down 6-3 at one point in the sixth and made the comeback (briefly). Luis Robert finished with four RBI and Andrew Vaughn hit a solo homer, but there were also some relative duds in the lineup. Chicago will need to get better on both sides Wednesday.
