The Baltimore Orioles and the Cleveland Guardians meet Thursday in MLB action from Progressive Field. Here’s a Cleveland Guardians vs Baltimore Orioles prediction. This will be the first installment in a four-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the Game.

Baltimore is fresh off a series versus the Toronto Blue Jays. The O’s won two of the first three games in that set, then on Wednesday Baltimore powered out a 10-4 win. Grayson Rodriguez put up 6.0 innings and three earned runs in the starting role.

In the starter gig for the Thursday opener, the Orioles didn’t immediately announce a name.

Ben Lively will take the mound for the starter gig on Thursday. This year Lively is 9-6 with a 3.44 ERA in 18 starts. Over his career Lively is 17-23 with a 4.53 ERA in 63 Games (50 starts). The Guardians will meet the Diamondbacks, Twins, and Cubs after this series.

Cleveland Guardians vs Baltimore Orioles Prediction

I’ll go with Cleveland here. Lively is on a nice run lately, but he’s going to need some help from the bats. Over his last three starts combined Lively has five earned in 16.2 total frames but he’s just 1-2 in that stretch. The good news is that Cleveland has scored four or more runs in three straight Games. Another total like that and the Guardians will be in great shape for a potential win.
