Christian Pulisic’s historic goal for Chelsea against Real Madrid in UCL
Christian Pulisic etched his name into the History books on April 27, 2021, by becoming the first American male to score in a UEFA Champions League semi-final.
In the first leg of the semi-final, played at the Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium, Pulisic opened the scoring in the 14th minute. Pulisic received a long pass from Antonio Rüdiger, skillfully controlled the ball, and maneuvered past Real Madrid’s defenders, including goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, before calmly slotting the ball into the net. This moment of brilliance gave Chelsea an early lead and set the tone for the match.
