The Detroit Tigers and the Chicago White Sox meet Sunday in MLB action from Guaranteed Rate Field. Here’s a Chicago White Sox vs Detroit Tigers prediction. This will be the third installment in a four-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best White Sox vs Tigers pick.

Detroit Tigers Betting Preview

In their last set the Tigers played the Chicago Cubs. Detroit was only able to win one of those three games, 8-2 on Wednesday. After a 5-2 win over the White Sox in their opener, on Saturday the Tigers kept it up with a 13-4 victory.

In the starter slot for the Sunday Game the Tigers are going with Beau Brieske. So far Brieske is 2-3 with a 4.24 ERA and 52 strikeouts.

Chicago White Sox Betting Preview

Over on the White Sox’ side, they took on the San Francisco Giants this week. Chicago lost the first pair of those Games before staving off the sweep with a 6-2 win in the finale. On Saturday the White Sox gave up nine runs in the first four innings alone on the way to the defeat.

Jonathan Cannon will start for the White Sox on Sunday. This year in his rookie campaign Cannon is 2-7 with a 4.26 ERA in 16 Games (14 starts).

Chicago White Sox vs Detroit Tigers Prediction

I’ve still got to go with the Tigers. I’m not touching this one, though. Cannon has struggled over his last two starts, giving up eight earned on 13 hits and four walks combined over 10.2 innings. It’s worth noting that Cannon did get a win August 6 versus Oakland with one earned in 6.0 frames, though.

On Saturday the Tigers got off to a hot start on the way to 14 team hits. Detroit did give up 12 hits on the other side, but the damage was pretty well contained. With such a big early lead it hardly mattered anyway. I like the Tigers to keep it going Sunday.

Andrew's Free Pick: Detroit Tigers -133
