Celtic v St Johnstone: Everything You Need to Know
Celtic are looking to continue their perfect start to the season this Saturday as they face a managerless St Johnstone in Premiership action.
Fresh off signing a new deal with Ayr, former Celtic skipper Scott Brown had been a contender for the St Johnstone managerial role after Craig Levein’s departure but has since ruled himself out.
Brendan Rodgers and his team will Travel to Perthshire for an evening kick-off, aiming to extend their lead over Rangers and at least stay level on points with Aberdeen at the top of the table, with the Dons playing at 3pm.
When is the kick-off?
It’s a strange kick-off time for Celtic this weekend. The Hoops will get underway on Saturday, 28 September at 5:45 PM at McDiarmid Park, St Johnstone.
TV Channel?
The Game will be televised on Premier Sports 1, following their new agreement with the SPFL.
Team News
There are a few injury concerns for Celtic, especially in defence. Cameron Carter-Vickers could be a doubt, missing last weekend’s cup match against Falkirk. Alistair Johnston also missed out with injury.
Away Support
Around 4,390 Celtic supporters are expected to fill the stands
Match Officials
Don Robertson will oversee the proceedings as the referee, flanked by assistant referees Daniel McFarlane and Craig Ferguson. Alan Muir will handle VAR duties, assisted by Graeme Leslie.
