The Boston Bruins had a magnificent win against the Florida Panthers in front of their home fans last night. The Bruins won 5-1, with a score of 0-0 in the first period, 3-1 in the second period, and 0-2 in the third period. This impressive victory came directly after their win against the Maple Leafs in the seventh Game of the series.

Reporters in the hall noticed that the noise level before the start of the Game was perhaps the biggest ever recorded, and the energy threatened to “collapse” the vaults. However, this atmosphere seemed to cut the home hockey players more than the visitors. The Bruins were particularly pleased with their goalkeeper, Jeremy Swayman, who remained invincible for most of the match, recording a whopping 38 saves. Matthew Tkachuk scored the only goal against him. On the other hand, the Bruins were very efficient and found scorers in Morgan Geekie, Mason Lohrei, Justin Brazeau, Jake DeBrusk, and Brandon Carlo.

The night’s story was that Brandon Carlo had only returned to the ice a few hours after his wife gave birth to their son. Pavel Zacha contributed to the win with two assists. Swayman said, “I was impressed with how neither of us wanted to accept defeat as an option. Physically and mentally, everything was as it should be, and I’m very eager to see how things will go.

This win marks Boston’s fifth victory over Florida in as many matches this season. The second Game will be played on Wednesday night at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida.
