It's hard to imagine Bronny James carving out a prominent role for the Los Angeles Lakers in limited minutes, but if there's one niche James would be best served to excel in, it would be his 3-point shot and playing excellent defense. 

In today's NBA, most teams live and die by the three, and with JJ Reddick very much expected to lean into analytics in his first venture into coaching, the 3-ball is going to be in play for the Lakers all season long. 

Given the ability to hide Bronny in the corner and try to get him open looks from beyond the arc, this price of +120 to knock down three triples is a price I can't pass up. 

Again — Bronny will likely see limited minutes, but it just takes one game to get hot, and with (arguably) the greatest of all time giving him pointers, it's hard to see Bronny fall flat on his face.

If you look at Bronny's stats in his lone year at USC, you won't be blown away by any of his numbers. 

He was a fringe player who played a shade under 20 minutes per Game and averaged 4.8 points on 48% shooting. 

Those are the kind of numbers that make you wonder why he was able to sign a massive first contract:

However, given the team and the player he'll be fortunate to play alongside, I see a scenario where Bronny's high basketball IQ and constant learning will help him thrive. 

While he'll spend most of his time in the G-League, he'll also see some meaningful playing time at some point this year. 

He is playing in Hollywood after all, and crazier things have happened.
