Brendan Rodgers is gearing up for his fourth full year in charge of Celtic. Having led his side to a hard-fought domestic double last season, the boss is after more success in 2024/25.

The Irishman’s return to the Hoops last summer split the support. Some welcomed him back with open arms while others were naturally hesitant.

In the end, Rodgers united all sectors of the club at the Business end of the season whether it be with his tactical on-field decisions or clever dealings with the media.

He deserves the utmost credit for leading the Bhoys to the double but now, the full focus is on the upcoming campaign.

The Hoops kick off the new term away to Ayr United this evening and ahead of the Game, Rodgers spoke to Celtic TV.

He admitted that the mood surrounding Celtic now is incomparable to that of when he initially returned a year ago.

“It feels a much different place than 12 months ago”, he said (Celtic TV via Football Scotland).

“So I’m really excited about this season and producing a team and a level of football that they (the fans) can be very proud of.

“We look forward to seeing them on the journey over this pre-season and then we all get ready to unite and go forward together for what will be a really exciting season with the new format of the Champions League and everyone being together.”

The manager will be hoping for an electric start to the season tonight at Somerset Park. Kick-off is at 7.45 pm as the Bhoys head to the seaside.
