The Toronto Blue Jays and the Boston Red Sox meet Wednesday in MLB action from Fenway Park. Here’s a Boston Red Sox vs Toronto Blue Jays Prediction. This will be the third installment in a four-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Blue Jays vs Red Sox pick.

The Jays took on the Los Angeles Angels in their weekend series, notching a sweep with four straight wins 5-3, 5-4, 3-1 and 8-2. Toronto kept it going with a 7-3 win over Boston on Monday. In Game two the Blue Jays out-hit the Sox 11-9 but still lost 6-3. Yariel Rodriguez managed 5.0 innings and six earned runs in the start.

Starter for the Wednesday matchup will be Toronto’s Chris Bassitt. So far over 26 starts Bassitt is 9-12 with a 4.41 ERA. In 195 career Games (182 starts) Bassitt is 71-54 with a 3.61 ERA.

Boston Red Sox Betting Preview

Over on the Red Sox’ side, they played the Arizona Diamondbacks in their last set. Boston came out on the wrong side of a sweep there, falling 12-2, 4-1 and 7-5. On Tuesday the Red Sox scored three in both the first and fifth innings. Starter Cooper Criswell put up 3.1 innings with one earned run.

Brayan Bello will start for Boston on Wednesday. So far Bello is 11-6 with a 4.95 ERA in 24 starts. Bello is 25-25 with a 4.59 ERA in 65 career Games (63 starts).

Boston Red Sox vs Toronto Blue Jays Prediction

I’ll take a stab on the Red Sox here. Bello does need a bounce-back start, though. In his last outing Bello took a loss with five earned in 5.1 innings. Prior to that however, Bello was doing pretty well with two earned in 12.0 innings for a 1-0 run. As for Bassitt, he’s given up 14 earned runs in his last 15.0 innings, going 0-2 in three starts.

On Tuesday the Sox had a couple of big innings, enough to propel them to a victory. Only two batters (Tyler O’Neill and Danny Jansen) came up empty at the plate. I like Boston to keep it up Wednesday.
