The Houston Astros and the Boston Red Sox meet Saturday in MLB action from Fenway Park. Here’s a Boston Red Sox vs Houston Astros prediction. This will be the second installment in a three-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Red Sox vs Astros pick.

In their last set the Astros played the Texas Rangers. Houston lost 4-3 in the opener of that series but came back for victories in the next pair. On Friday in the weekend series opener versus the Sox, Houston posted 16 team hits in an 8-4 win. Starter Ronel Blanco finished with 4.0 innings and two earned runs.

Boston Red Sox vs Houston Astros Prediction

I’ll probably lean toward the Astros. Houston needs to get Arrighetti some help offensively in order to pull it off, though. Arrighetti is 0-3 in his last trio but he hasn’t been pitching too badly. He’s got eight earned runs over 18.0 innings on five walks and 16 hits in that stretch.

On Friday the Astros had to use six arms out of the bullpen but it all worked out well. The offense was humming along nicely; six different players had multiple hits. If Houston can keep that going—and if Arrighetti can notch a quality start—Houston should stand a great chance at another W Saturday.
