The Chicago White Sox and the Boston Red Sox meet Sunday in MLB action from Fenway Park. Here’s a Boston Red Sox vs Chicago White Sox prediction. This will be the final installment in a three-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Red Sox vs White Sox pick.

Chicago White Sox Betting Preview

This past week the White Sox played the Baltimore Orioles. Chicago lost the first pair before an 8-1 win in the finale. After a 3-1 loss to the Red Sox on Friday, in game two the White Sox scored three runs in the seventh inning but couldn’t come back in a 7-5 defeat.

As starter for Sunday’s finale it’ll be Chris Flexen. This year Flexen is 2-14 with a 5.36 ERA in 29 Games (26 starts). Flexen is 29-48 with a 5.04 ERA in 149 Games (106 starts).

Over on the Red Sox’ side, they took on the New York Mets in their last series, losing all three games for a sweep. In Saturday’s game Boston powered out four runs in the first inning. Cooper Criswell went 5.0 frames with two earned in the start.

It’ll be Brayan Bello in the starter role Sunday. This year Bello is 12-7 with a 4.75 ERA in 26 starts. Bello is 26-26 with a 4.52 ERA in 67 Games (65 starts).

Boston Red Sox vs Chicago White Sox Prediction

This might be a spot to take Chicago on a value play. I’m probably not messing with it, though. Flexen is coming off a loss to Baltimore with three earned in 3.1 innings. In his two starts prior to that however, Flexen wasn’t too bad with five earned in 12.1 total frames. As for Bello, he’s given up nine earned in 10.1 innings during two of his last three Games (zero in 8.0 frames in the other).

On Saturday the White Sox had a couple of very nice offensive innings but couldn’t overcome their early struggles on the mound. Chicago was down 7-2 by the fifth and used six pitchers total. It’s a long shot thinking they can stop the sweep Sunday, but I suppose it’s possible.
