After spending more than a month on the IL with a hamstring injury, Trea Turner has not missed a beat in his first five Games back. He returned to the Philadelphia Phillies lineup during a team’s homestand on the 17th of June and instantly created a spark in the 2-hole. He’s recorded a hit in each Game while cashing the over of 2.5 hits + runs + RBI in three of those Games. Turner will look to jumpstart one of the most potent offenses tonight against the Detroit Tigers on the road, facing off versus underwhelming RHP Casey Mize.

Tigers starter Casey Mize, former #1 overall pick back in 2018, missed all of 2023 and is still working out the kinks in 2024. He ranks in the bottom 32nd and 8th percentile in xERA and xBA while having low put-away stuff to get hitters out. His whiff% and k rate rank in the bottom 10% of all qualifying pitchers. A tough outing is in the cards against an offense like the Phillies and a hitter like Trea Turner.
