Atlanta Hawks vs Chicago Bulls Player Prop Picks 11-9-24

This matchup between the Chicago Bulls and the Atlanta Hawks pits two offensive-minded teams with contrasting focal points. The Bulls rely heavily on Zach Lavine’s scoring, while the Hawks lean on Trae Young’s playmaking and three-point shooting.

On the other side, the Bulls have been effective in containing Young in past matchups. The Hawks’ success may depend on their perimeter shooting and whether they can push the pace to outscore Chicago. This matchup will likely hinge on which team better manages their defensive assignments, as both teams have struggled at times on that end.

Trae Young Over 9.5 AST -120

Trae Young has been a top playmaker, averaging 10.9 assists per game through his first nine games. This places him among the league’s most prolific assist leaders. Young is spending an average of 35.9 minutes per game on the court, enabling him to drive Atlanta’s offense effectively. This high assist rate complements his scoring, as he’s also averaging 23.8 points per game. His ability to facilitate alongside his scoring prowess is central to the Hawks’ performance so far this season.

I expect another big Game from Trae Young dishing the rock. We’ve seen some high-scoring Games involving both these teams this season. The Bulls are allowing 29.7 assists per Game which is the 2nd highest in the league. This offense runs through Trae on almost every possession he’s in the Game and he’ll have many opportunities to fill up the stat sheet.

Colby White Over 20.5 PTS -110

Coby White is averaging about 19 points per game for the Chicago Bulls. He’s been effective as a scorer, with a shooting percentage of around 43% from the field. White is also hitting nearly 39% of his three-point attempts and making close to 77% of his free throws, showing solid shooting efficiency across various areas. His scoring has been a steady component for the Bulls, contributing in crucial games early in the season.

In a matchup where both these teams don’t play great defense I’m looking for the scorers to put up a lot of points and White fits that narrative perfectly. It’s also unknown if Lavine plays in this Game and if he does he probably won’t be 100% which will give White even more opportunities to put up shots. All around there is a lot of value on take Colby White to get over 20 points on Saturday.

Jalen Johnson Over 9.5 Reb -120

Jalen Johnson has been performing impressively in rebounding, averaging around 10 rebounds per Game for the Atlanta Hawks. Johnson’s rebounding efforts have included some standout performances, such as grabbing a career-high 17 rebounds in a single Game against the Washington Wizards. He has been a consistent contributor on the boards, demonstrating his effectiveness as a versatile forward who can contribute significantly to Atlanta’s defensive and offensive efforts through his rebounding abilities.

Johnson has been a monster on the boards this season and I don’t see that changing in this spot. The Bulls are giving up 55.2 rebounds per Game which is the 6th most in the league. I don’t see a world where Johnson doesn’t clean up on the glass.

Nikola Vucevic Over 1.5 Three Pointers -110

Nikola Vučević is shooting three-pointers at a strong efficiency. He is hitting 45.7% of his attempts from beyond the arc, averaging 2.0 three-point makes per Game on 4.4 attempts. Vučević’s perimeter shooting continues to add versatility to his offensive Game, allowing him to stretch the floor for the Chicago Bulls and contribute significantly to their scoring and spacing.

This Bulls team has proven they trust Vucevic to shoot the deep ball. The Bulls run a heavy pick-and-roll offense which leads him open at the top of the key. This Hawks team has been getting torched by three-point shooters so far this season allowing 17.6 three-pointers a game which is the most in the league. Vucevic should hit two or more threes with ease in this matchup.
