In what is undoubtedly a severe blow to the Atlanta Flacons’ roster, the team now faces a situation where it could be without the services of one of its stars for quite some time. What comes next is anyone’s guess.

Falcons’ Rondale Moore suffers severe leg injury

According to reports on Wednesday, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Rondale Moore suffered a significant leg injury during training camp practice. Worse still is the fact that Moore, who was traded to the Falcons from the Arizona Cardinals in March, was seen with an iNFLatable cast on his right leg while being carted off the practice field. It is understood that he was transported to the Baptist Health medical facility for further evaluation as per ESPN’s Marcel Louis-Jacques.

So severe was Moore’s injury that the Falcons reportedly chose to end their joint practice with the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday, a decision which only serves to amplify the concern surrounding the 24-year-old’s condition. This is of course a major blow to the Falcons’ ambitions given that Moore was enjoying an impressive run in training camp while comPeting for the No. 3 wideout spot alongside Drake London and Darnell Mooney.

Where details and numbers are concerned, this was set to be Moore’s first season with the Falcons following the previously mentioned trade from the Cardinals, a team with which he caught a total of 135 passes for 1,201 yards and three touchdowns following his selection with the 49th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. At this point, the Falcons like all of us can only wait and watch in terms of Moore’s timetable for recovery.
