Arch Manning In Big Trouble Over Halloween Costume After Texas Win

Arch Manning and Texas went into Halloween weekend feeling pretty good.

Fresh off a disappointing blowout loss to Georgia, the Longhorns needed to bounce back in a big way against Vanderbilt.

They sort of ended up doing that.

Although their three-point, 27-24 victory over the Commodores left something to be desired, it is worth remembering that Vanderbilt is currently ranked No. 24 in the country.

Manning has been relegated back to the bench now that Quinn Ewers is healthy enough to play, but that doesn’t mean he stayed out of the spotlight this week.

The guy who once went viral for committing to the school of a blonde girl who was recording him in bed found a fresh way to land in the headlines.

In honor of Halloween, Manning opted to dress up as this famous character:

People took major issue with that, likening his costume to the one Johnny Manziel famously wore.

Big picture, these comparisons are clearly unfounded.

Manziel was a much better collegiate quarterback than Manning has been thus far.

It isn’t even close.

Until Manning gets better, the two don’t even deserve to be in the same conversation.

There are more parallels between Bronny James and Manning than Manziel and Manning.

Will Manning ever actually get on Manziel’s level? Time will tell.
