‘90 Day Fiancé’ star Big Ed reveals secrets behind 19-pound slimdown
Ed “Big Ed” Brown is making big moves in his fitness journey.
The “90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” star, 59, shares the secrets behind his 19-pound weight loss in an exclusive interview with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast.
“I’m trying to invest in my happy and I’ve lost 19 pounds,” he says, explaining that daily visits to the gym — where he breaks a sweat with extensive strength training paired with cardio exercises — have contributed to his slimdown.
“I’m in the gym every day working out,” he adds.
The red wine enthusiast says his diet has also improved, but he isn’t yet ready to give up his beloved Malbec.
“I’m still drinking the Malbecs,” he notes. “That’s kind of a balance!”
Brown’s body transformation has come on the heels of other life changes that have benefited his mental health, he points out, therefore making it easier for him to prioritize his physical health.
“I’ve got my real estate license,” the Arkansas resident says of his current Business endeavors beyond the world of unscripted television. “I’m doing real estate.”
Brown has also leaned into philanthropy, raising money and awareness for the Remembering Nicholas Foundation — which aids individuals and families who have experienced infant loss.
“I’m also involved in an amazing charity. It’s called Remembering Nicholas and we raise money for anyone that’s experienced an infant loss and we help with counseling, CPR training and so forth,” he tells “Virtual Reali-Tea.”
The TLC personality has also revisited his relationship with a higher power, attending church again and even volunteering during services.
“I’m back at church. I read on Sundays, I help usher. I seat people and it’s so funny, everybody knows who I am,” he says.
“So when I do the collection plate, everybody wants to [donate],” Brown continues with a laugh. “They’re loving me because I’m bringing in some money.”
When he’s not at the gym, church or lending a charitable hand, the reality TV stalwart — who made his small-screen debut in 2020’s Season 4 of “90 Day Fiancé” — is getting to know a new lady after calling off his wedding to now-ex-fiancée Elizabeth “Liz” Woods.
“She’s a really good friend and we have very intimate conversations. She’ll tear up and I’ll tear up. And she wants nothing to do with my fame or whatever. She’s not any of that,” he says of the mystery woman.
“I have a lot of people that pursue me that want that and that honestly is the hardest part for me to be able to meet somebody.”
“90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?” airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on TLC.
