2024 Shriners Children’s Open: Round 3 Saturday tee times and pairings
Leader Taylor Pendrith was one of a large number of players who were unable to finish round two at the 2024 Shriners Children’s Open in Nevada on Friday, after the day’s delayed play was suspended due to darkness.
When will play resume at the Shriners Children’s Open?
At TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas, where high winds held up the start of day two by four hours, play was stopped at 6:02 p.m. PT/3:02 p.m. ET, with tournament organizers announcing that round two will resume on Saturday at 7:15 a.m. PT/ 4:15 a.m. ET.
When will round three tee times be announced? What is the cut line?
Tee times for round three will be confirmed after the completion of the second round, with the projected cut line currently sitting at two under. The next round is expected to begin at around 12:20 p.m. PT/9:20 a.m. ET. This article will be updated as soon as the tee times have been announced.
Friday’s high winds led PGA Tour officials to keep TPC Summerlin closed to spectators. People who had purchased tickets for day two will have their entry passes honored on Saturday, organizers have confirmed.
Pendrith leads by one shot after “really tough” Friday
Pendrith will resume round two sitting at 10 under, one stroke ahead Rico Hoey, who is also still to finish round two. Speaking after play was suspended, Pendrith said the wind had caused him particular problems on the green: “I think it died down a little bit for us, but [there were] still some really strong gusts that you kind of had to time your putts. Putting is really tough in the wind I thought.”
Behind Pendrith and Hoey, five men are on eight under: Doug Ghim, JJ Spaun, Davis Thompson, Kurty Kitayama and JT Poston. Of that group, all but Poston have completed their second round. The Shriner’s Children’s back-to-back defending champion, Tom Kim, is set to miss the cut after scoring 72 in round two, to finish on one under.
