2024 March Madness Second Round Parlay Picks: Sunday, March 24 | Pickswise

By the end of Sunday’s NCAA Tournament schedule, only 16 teams will remain. That’s right; the Sweet 16 is just about upon us.

The first round delivered plenty of madness. What will Sunday do for an encore? Sunday’s 8-game slate will round out the Sweet 16 field, and it should be entertaining from noon until night – headlined by top seeds UConn, Houston and Purdue hoping to once again dominate their underdog opponents.

Here is my mega parlay for Sunday, and also be sure to check out our experts’ college basketball picks for EVERY game in the NCAA Tournament.

Colorado ML (+142)

Alabama vs Grand Canyon Over 174.5 (+160)

Yale +5.5 (-108)

NCAAB parlay odds: +1112

For this parlay I am going with 2 underdogs – 1 on the money line and 1 against the spread – and an over play. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

Colorado ML over Marquette (+142)

Marquette woke up in the second half to take care of Western Kentucky on Friday, but it was hardly a performance that instilled a lot of confidence. Now the comPetition level ratches up significantly in the form of Colorado. The Buffaloes played perhaps the most entertaining Game of the entire first round, outlasting Florida 102-100 (in regulation, I should add, since the score indicates some kind of overtime or even double-overtime thriller). Colorado has already proven in this tournament that it can win in various ways. In its play-in Game against Boise State, CU made relatively light work of a 60-53 defensive struggle. Thus continues an outstanding run of form for the Buffs. They are 10-1 SU in their last 11 Games, with a loss only to Oregon in the Pac-12 Tournament final. Sound the upset alert!

Alabama vs Grand Canyon Over 174.5 (+160)

The Alabama vs Charleston Over was an easy win for the Pickswise team and I am going right back to the well when the Crimson Tide MMArErrorV2Themed SCXW41161925 BCX0">face Grand Canyon on Sunday. The over/under is set at 168.5, but I will play it up to 174.5 to increase the parlay payout. I’m not nervous about it, either, because when Alabama is clicking there is basically no number that is too high. The Crimson Tide MMArErrorV2Themed SCXW41161925 BCX0">torched Charleston for 109 points, while also giving up 96. That marked their fourth time this season reaching the century mark. Mark Sears went for 30, going 9-of-13 from the floor and 9-of-11 from the free-throw line. Grand Canyon pinned 75 points on Saint Mary’s and prior to that outing the Antelopes had scored at least 80 in 3 of their last 4. The athleticism in this Game is going to be off the charts, and I expect the scoreboard will be the same.

Yale +5.5 over San Diego State (-108)

Not all 5.5-point spreads are created equal. For example, 5.5 points in an Alabama Game MMArErrorV2Themed SCXW41161925 BCX0">don’t go anywhere near as far as they do in a Virginia Game. Sunday’s contest between San Diego State and Yale should be more along the lines of a Virginia Game. After all, the over/under is currently set at 128.5. If this Game is as low scoring as it is expected to be, Yale should be able to keep it within the spread. The Bulldogs pulled off one of the biggest first-round upsets, beating SEC Tournament champion Auburn. They have won 5 of their last 6 and have not lost in regulation since February 23. They have not lost by more than 3 points since February 17. Give me Yale plus MMArErrorV2Themed SCXW41161925 BCX0">the points.
