2023 MLB Wild Card series odds and predictions: Who are the favorites to win?
The 2023 MLB Playoffs’ Wild Card Series is set to begin on Tuesday, October 3rd. The two American Division teams will play a series of games over consecutive days until two teams from each league qualify for the next round.
On the first day, the Tampa Bay Rays will face off against the Texas Rangers in the first game. An hour and a half later, the Minnesota Twins will play against the Toronto Blue Jays in another American League game.
The National League matches will begin in the second part of the afternoon. The Milwaukee Brewers will host the Arizona Diamondbacks in the first Game, while the Philadelphia Phillies will play the Miami Marlins in the last match of the day.
Stay tuned for a breakdown of the favorites and predictions for each match-up.
Tampa Bay Rays vs. Texas Rangers
In this match, Tampa Bay is favored due to recent absences. The team from Florida is expected to win Game one and the series.
Minnesota Twins vs. Toronto Blue Jays
This matchup is very even and it’s 50/50 who will get through. There is no clear favorite to qualify for the next round, which makes everything very open and unpredictable. The Twins are slightly favored in the opening game due to the home-field advantage.
Milwaukee Brewers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks
The Brew Crue is expected to dominate throughout the series and is heavily favored to win game 1, making a comfortable victory likely.
Philadelphia Phillies vs. Miami Marlins
As with the other Games in the series, the local team is expected to win the first Game. The Phillies are the clear favorite to win the opening Game, and they are also hoping to qualify for the battle against the Marlins, who are considered the underdogs.
