Leonard to return for Game 2?

Speaking to the media ahead of Game 2, Clippers head coach Ty Lue commented on the Leonard injury situation stating: “He’s going to go through practice today and we’ll see.

The power forward was forced to sit out the first Game of the playoffs at the Crytpo.com Arena as he continued his recovery of his knee problem that kept him out the final few Games of the regular season. The 32-year-old was training in contactless workouts and today, it came as somewhat of a surprise that he was given the green light for the second matchup with the Mavs.

Leonard was the only player on the Clippers’ injury report heading into the night as the Clippers aim to get past the Mavericks in the playoffs for the third time in five seasons after winning a first-round series in both 2020 and 2021 as the series heads back to Dallas for Games 3 and 4 on Friday and Sunday next.
