Who is throwing the ceremonial first pitch for game 3 of the MLB World Series?

The third tie of the World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Yankees (2-0) gets underway tonight (Monday, October 30th, 8:08 p.m. ET / 5:08 p.m. ET.).

In what has been a fascinating series so far, the Yankees are down 0-2 (3-6, 2-4), something that has not happened to them since facing the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2001 in a series that reached Game 7.

MLB released an official statement on the matter, saying that “two critical members of the 2001 World Series Championship D-backs will take the mound for the ceremonial first pitches – Luis Gonzalez and Hall of Famer Randy Johnson".

They add more about "the World Series heroes" remembering that Gonzalez got the walk-off, series-clinching hit while Johnson spearheaded the Game 7 win and was World Series co-MVP. The pair will reunite for the first Fall Classic Game at Chase Field in 22 years.
