The Chicago White Sox will head out to Anaheim for Game one of their three-Game set with the Los Angeles Angels this Monday from Angel Stadium.

White Sox Betting Preview

Chicago enters at 34-45 after taking two of three from Boston. The Southside took the final two contests in the battle of Sox over the weekend, and they’ll look to steal a few Games in Anaheim here.  The Chicago offense is 4.72 scoring runs per Game, while batting .235, with a .292 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 5.72 ERA, with a 1.21 WHIP. Luis Robert homered in both wins over Boston, and he leads Chicago in home runs (21), with 42 RBI. Andrew Vaughn has produced a run in four of the last six Games, and he leads the Sox in RBI (45), with twelve homers. Andrew Benintendi has multiple hits in four of the last five Games, and he’s first on the team in batting at .283.

Dylan Cease (3-3, 4.22 ERA, 100 Ks) will get the ball for Chicago. The fifth-year ace pitched well against Texas last week at home, tossing nine strikeouts over six innings of work, while giving up just two runs en route to a Sox win. Cease has been pretty good this month, despite not picking up any decisions, and he’s only allowed six runs through four starts.

Angels Betting Preview

Los Angeles moved to 42-37 after dropping two of three to Colorado . The Angels embarrassed the Rockies in Game two, but they failed to follow up the 25-run effort Sunday, and they’ll look for better results during this home stand. The LAA offense is scoring 4.16 runs per Game, while batting .252, with a .331 on-base percentage. The pitching staff carries a 4.33 ERA, with a 1.27 WHIP. Mike Trout went deep twice at Coors last week, and he’s posting a line of .255/17/41. Shohei Ohtani also had a strong series against Colorado, and he’s leading LAA in batting (.297), home runs (25), and RBI (61). Brandon Drury has recorded a hit in nine of the last ten Games, and he’s now second on the team in RBI (43), with twelve homers. Hunter Renfroe collected a season-high five hits in the blowout win,  and he’s posting similar splits of .257/11/39.

Reid Detmers (1-5, 4.02 ERA, 84 Ks) will make the road start for Los Angeles. The third-year lefty has pitched well over his last three starts, and he capped it off in the Freeway Series against the Dodgers. Detmers matched Clayton Kershaw’s energy by tossing eight strikeouts over seven scoreless innings, only to have the bullpen blow the Game in the eighth. Detmers has cleared eight strikeouts in three straight outings, and he’ll look to keep this strong month going against Chicago Monday.

Chicago vs Anaheim Trends

CHI Sox are 34-34 against the spread this season, with a 31-35-2 O/U record. LA Angels are 38-31 ATS this year, with a 37-27-5 over/under record.

Corey’s Free Pick

Two of the more talented teams in the AL will face off here this week in Anaheim, and despite holding a disadvantage on the mound, I love the Angels here. The Halos have played very well this month, and they’ve been getting great production alongside their dynamic duo. The production has been a Game-changer, and I like them finding a way to get to Dylan Cease. Back the Angels for Game one on Monday.
