Panama vs Costa Rica: CNL quarter-final preview
For the second Nations League in succession, Los Ticos and Los Canaleros meet in the last eight. When they faced off in the 2023/24 quarter-finals, the Panamanians swept to a dominant victory, triumphing 6-1 on aggregate.
As one of the top four teams in CONCACAF’s ranking index, Panama received a bye through the 2024/25 league phase, together with the United States, Mexico and Canada. Costa Rica, meanwhile, booked their place in the quarters by winning Group A ahead of Suriname.
After clashing in San José, Costa Rica and Panama meet in the return leg in Panama City on Monday November 18.
