WhatsApp will let users stay logged in to two accounts
According to Meta Platform CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, WhatsApp users with two accounts will soon have the ability to stay logged in to both accounts at once, without the need of an additional device.
The new feature launch would make it easy to switch between two WhatsApp accounts for work and personal life. The feature is rolling out to Android devices in the coming weeks.
Meta has, however, emphasised that users will need two SIM cards for a second account, along with a dual-SIM or second device, to receive a verification code from the company. After the account has been set up, the second sim and device won't be required.
Meta already rolled out a multi-device feature in 2021 that allowed users to use their account across Android tablets, browsers and computers. Additional smartphones were later included in this feature.
