WhatsApp's latest update features quicker sticker search, media viewer upgrades

WABetaInfo announced that Whatsapp's latest update includes a GIPHY sticker search feature which will allow users to find the perfect sticker to convey their feelings more accurately and efficiently

The latest update which will be available for iOS on version 24.17.78 will allow users to quickly search for the ideal sticker, even if it’s not part of their collection.

"A quick search through GIPHY might reveal just the right animated sticker to convey their message," WABetaInfo revealed.

The announcement added that the latest improvement will let users find "the perfect sticker to convey emotions in chats."

The update also introduces the ability to rearrange stickers in the sticker tray with a new "move sticker to the top" option, making it simpler to access favourite stickers.

Additionally, the update enhances the media viewer experience.

Users can now reply to or react to photos, videos, or GIFs directly from the media viewer screen using new shortcuts at the bottom.

The reply shortcut opens a bar for typing messages, while the reaction shortcut allows users to select an emoji reaction without disrupting their viewing.

Meta announced that the latest features will be gradually rolled out to users over the coming weeks.

It announced that if the update doesn’t appear immediately, users should ensure their WhatsApp is regularly updated through the App Store or TestFlight app.
