WhatsApp gets new group features for admins, members
WhatsApp parent company, Meta, recently announced its latest updated feature on the app related to group chats and privacy controls.
The company released a host of tools for admins to help manage groups and its still-new feature, Communities, especially with concern to which participants join the group.
In the upcoming update, admins will have more privacy controls over who joins their groups using the invite link and in open Communities. Additionally, group members will now be able to view which groups they have in common with their contact lists.
Users can easily search for the name of a friend in their contact list to see which groups they have in common.

According to Meta, the new additional tools will begin rolling out globally in the coming weeks, as the platform promises to strive to make group conversations the 'best experience' for members and admins alike.
