The Scottish Premiership title race took a twist on Wednesday as the scheduled match between Dundee and Rangers at Dens Park was postponed following a failed pitch inspection, marking the second such postponement.

It was the second pitch inspection of the day, with Don Robertson saying the pitch was playable at 11 am on Wednesday morning. However, heavy rain throughout the day has forced the official’s hand.

The match will now go ahead next Wednesday, April 17.

This postponement could significantly impact the title race, particularly for Celtic. With their upcoming home Game against St Mirren, Celtic has the opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the table to four points. This scenario would put considerable pressure on Rangers, who are slated to face Ross County away on Sunday.

Rangers are looking for the SPFL to impose sanctions on Dundee, claiming they have breached multiple rules in the run-up to this Game.
