Watch: Brendan Rodgers’ Hilarious Interview With Peter Schmeichel
Brendan Rodgers was interviewed pre-match by legendary goalkeeper and CBS Sports pundit Peter Schmeichel, father of Celtic goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.
Schmeichel Snr thanked the Irishman for starting his son, given that he had begged his CBS bosses to let him Travel to Germany to cover Celtic’s clash against Dortmund.
The former Manchester United goalkeeper and Champions League winner in 1999 has made a real positive impact in his punditry on CBS, leading to him being given the role of interviewing players and managers pre- and post-match, something that is usually done by journalists.
This highlights just how good his interview style is, and tonight was no different, with both him and Rodgers in great spirits pre-match.

Schmeichel Jnr will certainly be tested this evening at the Signal Iduna Park in what will be seen as the biggest test of his shot-stopping abilities to date against last season’s Champions League runners-up.
Given his father’s attendance, Kasper will be desperate to put in a real match-winning performance on the highest stage in what could be a huge night for his Celtic career, as he will undeniably be tested from start to finish at one of the most atmospheric stadiums in world Football.
