Watch: Alexandro Bernabei Helps Internacional to Saturday Win With Standout Display
Celtic loanee Alexandro Bernabei put in a standout performance as his Internacional team beat Gremio 1-0 in the Brazilian top flight last night.
After scoring against Corinthians last weekend, Bernabei was involved going forward once again yesterday evening.
Midway through the second half, his side were on the offensive, and the ball eventually fell for the 24-year-old on the edge of the box. Bernabei rifled it goal-wards, and it flew into the back of the net.
Striker Rafael Borre was credited with the goal, as Bernabei’s vigorous effort skimmed off him before flying in:
An assist for Alexandro Bernabei this evening! 🎯

The left-back has found his feet during his loan spell in Brazil.
Bernabei has scored two goals and registered three assists across 15 appearances in the Brazilian Serie A for Internacional in 2024 up to this point.
Given his form and level of performance, it is no surprise that his loan club wants to make his stay permanent.
Indeed, talks are already underway for Bernabei to join Internacional on a long-term basis, a deal which would be best for both Celtic and the Brazilian side.
The Argentine never found his feet in Glasgow and remained inconsistent with his displays. He has found a home back in South America, though, as he continually kicks on each week.
