Elon Musk announced recently that Twitter will allow media publishers to charge users per-article basis with one click. He called it a win for both the public and media organisations.

To be rolled out in May, the feature will enable users who haven't signed up for the monthly subscription "to pay a higher per article price for when they want to read an occasional article”.

Just this Friday, Musk announced that Twitter will partake in a 10% cut after the first year of subscriptions, which would include long-form text and hours-long video.

Twitter has also been repeatedly warned about monitoring digital platforms, with breaches risking a fine of 6% of global turnover and even a suspension of the service.
