Travis Kelce speaks about Andy Reid clash during Super Bowl win

The Kansas City Chiefs were victorious over the San Francisco 49ers in the 58th edition of the Super Bowl at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The Game was full of drama, with the Chiefs eventually winning their second consecutive Vince Lombardi trophy and making History in the process.

During the game, however, it was not an easy ride for the eventual winners, and tempers flared as tight end Travis Kelce was captured clashing with head coach Andy Reid, even appearing to shove the 65-year-old from the side.

The public reaction was not positive for Kelce, and the player was called “a diva” as well as a “crybaby” by online Chiefs fans, as well as plenty of people who that “he should be put on the bench”. One user even wrote that “there is no place for this in the NFL”.

‘I was just telling him how much I love him’

Tight end Travis Kelce, however, did not feel that what was said needed an explanation, saying “man, it was uh … I’m gonna keep it between us unless my mic’d up tells the world. I was just telling him how much I love him,” Kelce said with a smile that accompanied his perhaps sarcastic words.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was also quizzed on the fiery moment, and responded positively saying “that moment right there, that speaks to the team that we are. Everybody loves it. Everybody loves the Game, loves to comPete and Coach Reid wants to comPete.”

The Kansas City Chiefs, while they have not revealed their victory parade schedule, can be expected to host their party on Wednesday 14 February. Past parade schedules also make us think that this year’s celebration will start around noon: 2020′s parade began at 11:30 a.m., while last year’s began at midday.
