Transcribers of Reddit to shut down over changes to API structure
One of Reddit's communities, known as Transcribers of Reddit, is shutting down the channel on June 30th after the platform changed its API structure.
Transcribers of Reddit is a subreddit that actively transcribes content posted to Reddit to make it available to all. In addition, the community also raised awareness regarding different problems on the platform and provided temporary and constructive solutions to them.
The community did share a positive and strong relationship with the platform, as Reddit was interested in addressing the pointed-out flaws. However, Reddit has shown a 'lack of willingness' to sort out the recent changes in the API structure of the platform.

In the announcement post, the moderator said, "The announced changes to the API structure starting July 1st would likely make it more difficult, though not impossible, for Transcribers of Reddit to function. Technical functioning is just one part of running a project of this size and scope; we believe it is only a matter of time until further changes truly make it impossible. In the meantime, our team would be faced with constantly increasing work to keep the project alive until we inevitably have to shut down anyway."
Reddit has declined to comment on this issue. However, the team says that it is working on making the platform more accessible.
