Today’s NHL Prop Picks and Best Bets – Saturday, April 13
It’s the last weekend of the regular season and there are a plethora of NHL player props ripe for the picking on today’s 13-Game slate.
Today, I’m continuing to indirectly back the Auston Matthews goal train, going back to the well with Nashville shot props, and taking a piece of the Lund Line in San Jose.
Here are my best NHL picks for Saturday, March 23 with odds courtesy of Bet99.
NHL prop picks and best bets for April 13
- Max Domi Over 0.5 assists (+155 at Bet99)
- Luke Evangelista Over 2.5 SOG (-110 at Bet99)
- William Eklund Over 0.5 points (-115 at Bet99)
Picks made on April 13 at 10:00 a.m. ET.

Today’s NHL prop picks and best bets
Prop bet #1: Domi good to go
Elliotte Friedman tweeted Saturday morning that Max Domi is good to go today vs. the Detroit Red Wings and that means Auston Matthews’ quest for 70 goals is in good hands tonight.
The Toronto Maple Leafs will want to get 34 a couple of goals tonight, so the hype can die down and the league’s leading scorer can rest ahead of the Florida road trip capping off the season.
For Toronto: Liljegren, Domi, Reaves in the lineup tonight. Edmundson out, being “overly cautious” with him, not the same injury as before

The Matthews-Domi connection has been elite and the duo has become one of the best 5-on-5 pairings in terms of expected goals per minute. The Leafs will see James Reimer in net, which is even better as the backup hasn’t played since March 28 and has allowed three or more goals in five of his last six games.
Finding value in this top line is not hard. Matthews’ anytime goal is tough to swallow at -145 but a Domi assist for +155 is worth a full unit. Detroit is also in desperation mode and there could be a situation where it has to pull the goalie to save the season.
Max Domi prop: Over 0.5 assists (+155 at Bet99)
Prop bet #2: +EV Evangelista
The Nashville Predators have the best SOG matchup of the Saturday slate as the Columbus Blue Jackets are allowing over 37 shots per Game across the last 30 days. This is also a Nashville team looking to give its bigger players some rest heading into the playoffs as Gustav Nyquist got a breather last night.
That could lead to more ice time for Nashville’s role players like Luke Evangelista, who has 20 shots on goal over his last three games alone. He had five on net last night in another great shooting matchup vs. Chicago and the middle-six forward had a 10-pack of shots the game before that.
I’m not banking Evangelista will be on the top line again tonight with Nyquist likely back, but even in a secondary role, I love his Over 2.5 SOG at -110 today. If Nyquist does sit again, that would move this to a great play to one I would ladder to five shots.
He is an efficient shooter who gets 65% of his shot attempts on net. If Nashville plays with the lead and Evangelista is playing on the third line, he could get more shifts as the team limits the top line's minutes.
Luke Evangelista prop: Over 2.5 SOG (-110 at Bet99)
Prop bet #3: Lund Line
With nobody watching the San Jose Sharks all season, bettors might not be up to date on how good the Lund Line has been. Mikael Granlund, William Eklund, and Fabian Zetterlund have been red hot. The trio have a combined 33 points over the last 10 games, including 15 points with the man advantage.
Thanks to a 3.81 GAA over the last 30 days, this offense is always in a negative game script and these skaters are seeing big minutes in productive situations.
The Minnesota Wild have been eliminated from the postseason, are in the middle of a five-Game road trip, and have given up 12 goals over their last two Games. San Jose will have a chance to put up points and the best price of the trio to find the scoresheet is Eklund at -115. Considering Grandlund is -210 for a point, his linemate at -115 is a great price.
The Wild have the No.31 PK over the last 30 days and the Sharks’ power-play props aren’t a bad look either. San Jose is a live dog here at +185.
William Eklund prop: Over 0.5 points (-115 at Bet99)
