Teaser drops for The White Lotus: What we can tell from the mini trailer, set in Thailand at the Four Seasons Koh Samui

Fans could hardly believe their eyes this morning (or late night in the U.S.), when HBO dropped a short teaser for The White Lotus season 3. With a speedboat racing into the sunset, and poolside lounging scenes, it seems the new season will be equally scenic to its predecessors. Tropical luxury and plenty of drama: if the shot of the Muay Thai kick is any indication, there will be a fair amount of action this season, too.

According to the teaser, where is The White Lotus season 3 filmed in Thailand?

While the rumour mill has long speculated the Four Seasons Koh Samui as the filming location for The White Lotus season 3, the new trailer seems to confirm this. Look closely and the pool, the parasols, and the aerial alignment look very much like the one on the island property.

The caption reads “new luxuries await you in Thailand,” and we are now certain that a part of this extends to the THB 78,000/night luxury location.

Who is in the cast?

Another speculation confirmed is also the presence of spa manager Belinda Lindsey (Natasha Rothwell), who will return to the show after her character’s ill-fated storyline in season 1. In the new mini trailer, she looks a lot happier, and is dressed in casual clothing. Perhaps, she joins new cast members Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Sam Nivola as a guest at the resort.

Whilst these actors can be spotted in the new teaser, the third season of the show will also feature major stars like BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Leslie Bibb, Walton Goggins, Aimee Lou Wood, Michelle Monaghan, and Carrie Coon.

Other Thai cast members include Dom Hetrakul, Maethi-Tayme Thapthimthong, and Patravadi Mejudhon.

The White Lotus season 3 premiere date

The White Lotus clip is part of a longer teaser, featuring other HBO shows set to premiere this 2024 and 2025. These include The Penguin, The Batman, Dune:Prophecy, The Sex Lives of College Girls (season 3), And Just Like That (season 3), The Gilded Age (season 3) and The Last of Us (season 2), to name a few.
