The Latest with the Scottish Cup Final Kick Off Time after English FA Announcement
There will be no change to the Scottish Cup Final kick-off time and is set to overlap with the FA Cup final, both scheduled for 3 pm on Saturday, May 25.
This scheduling decision pits the Glasgow Derby between Celtic and Rangers against the Manchester Derby at Wembley, where Manchester City will face Manchester United.
Despite the potential for a significant ratings clash, Mail Sport has reported that the Scottish Football Association has no plans to alter the kick-off time for the Scottish Cup final, which was set before the English FA announced the schedule for its own final.
This decision comes after a contentious adjustment last year when the SFA moved the Scottish Cup final to 5:30 pm to avoid overlapping with the FA Cup final, following a request from the BBC to maximise viewership.
The 3 pm kick-off is particularly favourable for fans attending the Game in Scotland, ensuring they can enjoy the match without the late finish that a delayed start time would entail.
Moreover, the likelihood of Police Scotland approving a late kick-off for such a high-stakes match involving intense rivals like Celtic and Rangers is extremely slim.
