The Baltimore Orioles and the Tampa Bay Rays meet Monday in MLB action from Tropicana Field. Here’s a Tampa Bay Rays vs Baltimore Orioles prediction. This will be the final installment in a four-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the Game.

Baltimore Orioles Betting Preview

The Orioles took on the Toronto Blue Jays in their last series. Baltimore managed wins 7-2 and 10-1 in the first two outings before losses in the next pair. After a 6-3 win in the opener versus the Rays, on Saturday the O’s cruised to a 5-0 shutout victory. In the Sunday Game three Baltimore powered out another win, this time 9-2.

For the starter gig in the Monday finale the Orioles will send out Corbin Burnes. This year Burnes is 6-2 with a 2.26 ERA in 13 starts. Over 79.2 innings he’s got 76 Ks. Burnes is 51-29 with a 3.16 ERA in 180 career games (119 starts).

Tampa Bay Rays Betting Preview

Over on the Rays’ side, they played a couple of Games versus the Miami Marlins last week. Tampa Bay won both of those matchups 9-5 and 5-3. On Sunday in Game three versus the O’s Tampa Bay got 6.0 innings and three earned runs out of starter Zack Littell.

It’ll be Ryan Pepiot on the mound for the starting role for Tampa Bay on Monday. This year Pepiot is 4-2 with a 3.96 ERA in 10 starts. Pepiot is 9-3 with a 3.24 career ERA in 27 Games (20 starts) total.

Rays SP Jeffrey Springs (elbow) threw one inning in a rehab outing Friday.

Tampa Bay Rays vs Baltimore Orioles Prediction

I’ll probably stay with the Orioles here. Burnes is pitching pretty well over his last two starts (both wins). In that pair Burnes has 14.0 innings with just one earned run on seven hits and four walks. As for Pepiot, he’s given up eight earned runs over this last 15.2 innings of work over three starts.

On Sunday the Orioles started a little slowly on offense but eventually powered out 13 team hits and scored four times in the eighth inning alone. I like Baltimore to keep it rolling in the finale.
