Strange Glitch in the Matrix: Dead Colleague turned out to be alive
This story was posted on Reddit in the “Glitch in the Matrix” section. According to the author, she had several such “glitches in the matrix” in her life, but this is the most strange glitch she had ever experienced.
A Glitch In The Matrix: Dead Colleague Back To Life?
Later, I told my cousin about the situation and he said that he also felt in the same strange position as me. And then, when we directly asked the daughter of a deceased colleague about this, she said that she did not remember anything about the wake, but that we were not the first people in her environment who told her that her mother had died.
She said that people not only remember how her mother died, but they remember the details of the funeral and the like. At the same time, she assures that her mother is alive and that she is in the hospital.
Then the daughter of a colleague said that it was actually her father who died, not her mother, but she also said that none of the people who encountered her remembered this. They ask where her father is, how he is today, that he does not answer calls or messages, etc., and for her, her father has been dead for more than ten years.
Post addition. I was asked in the comments if I had any moments when I could possibly jump from one universe to another, and yes, there was one such case. This was a little over two years ago.
I took my evening medicines, but I was tired and mixed them up. I ended up drinking a whole bottle of glipizide, a drug that lowers blood sugar levels. I accidentally drank such a large dose that it could have killed a horse. I realized this immediately when I lay down to take a nap due to extreme fatigue, and it was very strange for me to fall asleep.
Looking back, I think I fell asleep there forever, died, and woke up here (in another universe).”
“I work in the admissions department of my local hospital and also help the Business office with various billing duties. One of the things I do is follow obituaries.
When someone’s obituary appears in the paper, I check to see if that person owes the hospital money. If it turns out that I should, then I cut out his obituary, fill out the form, and then track how the insurance is paid and all that.
A few years ago (I worked there for over 20 years) one of my colleagues in the nutrition department retired and passed away shortly after; I know this because I edited her obituary. This colleague’s daughter was really good friends with my cousin, so the daughter was even at my cousin’s house the day after my colleague’s funeral. They had a big wake for her mother and everything.
And today, when I was working in the emergency room, the daughter of a deceased colleague comes and says that her mother is in the emergency room. I was well brought up, so I didn’t say anything, but I thought “Uh, what the hell?”. I was in such a daze that my partner intervened and decided to help find the woman’s mother herself.
I was damn sure that it was her mother who had died a few years ago. So when my partner took the woman to the emergency room, I started looking for an obituary form that I filled out myself. And I couldn’t find it!
