The Milwaukee Brewers and the St. Louis Cardinals meet Tuesday in MLB action from Busch Stadium. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this Game. Here’s a St. Louis Cardinals vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction.

Starting Pitching Matchup

The Milwaukee Brewers will start Frankie Montas here and Montas is 5-8 with a 4.86 ERA and 96 strikeouts this season. In his career, Montas is 0-2 with a 6.00 ERA and 12 strikeouts against St. Louis. Milwaukee Brewers Recap

The Milwaukee Brewers come into this one looking to keep the momentum going after a 5th straight win to sweep the Cleveland Guardians thanks to a 2-0 win in Sunday’s series finale. The sweep helped the Brewers build on their series split with the Los Angeles Dodgers from earlier in the week.

William Contreras leads the Brewers with 134 hits including 32 doubles and 71 RBIs along with 17 home runs and a .355 OBP while Rhys Hoskins has 20 home runs with 60 RBIs and Willy Adames has 28 doubles with 22 home runs and 85 RBIs. Brice Turang leads the Brewers with 37 stolen bases while Adames has a team-high 133 strikeouts as well this season. Jackson Chourio’s added 15 homers and 53 RBIs also on the year.

Why the Milwaukee Brewers will win

St. Louis Cardinals Recap

Cardinals Running Out Of Time In NL Playoff Race

Nolan Arenado has 119 hits along with 17 doubles and 55 RBIs while Brendan Donovan has 122 hits and 54 RBIs with 27 doubles. Nolan Gorman has 19 home runs along with 50 RBIs in addition to 15 doubles while Masyn Winn has a .274 batting average, 119 hits and 10 stolen bases. Paul Goldschmidt also has 139 K’s while Gorman has a team-high 148 strikeouts as well this season. Alec Burleson also has a team-high 21 home runs and 70 RBIs as well this year.

St. Louis Cardinals vs Milwaukee Brewers Prediction

I’m leaning towards the Cardinals here. I don’t love this Game because Erick Fedde hasn’t been anything special since being acquired by the Cardinals at the trade deadline, but the best start that Fedde had since being acquired came at home where he is here and I think he can have a solid start against the Brewers. On the other side, Frankie Montas was a head-scratching pickup for Milwaukee in my eyes, as he hasn’t been very good this season and I don’t think it’s going to get any better here. This is a huge Game for the Cards who can’t afford to lose any more ground in the playoff hunt in the NL. Give me St. Louis.
