The UAB Blazers and the South Florida Bulls meet Saturday in college Football action from Raymond James Stadium. Here’s a South Florida vs UAB Prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best USF vs UAB pick.

UAB Blazers Betting Preview

UAB got off to a nice start this year with a 41-3 blowout win over Alcorn State. The Blazers hit the skids after that however. UAB’s next four Games were all blowout losses: 32-6 versus LA-Monroe, 37-27 versus Arkansas, 41-18 to Navy and 71-20 versus Tulane.

In Game six versus Army, the Blazers were drilled 34-3 in the first half and ultimately limped to a 44-10 loss. QB Jalen Kitna finished with 242 yards, one TD and two picks. Lee Beebe led the rush with 36 yards off nine carries, and Kameran Shanks had nine grabs for 119 yards.

South Florida Bulls Betting Preview

Over on the South Florida side, they were only able to win two of their first five Games. The Bulls beat Bethune-Cookman 48-3 and Southern Miss 49-24 in that time. Otherwise it was losses to Alabama 42-16, Miami-FL 50-15 and Tulane 45-10.

Matched up against Memphis last weekend, the Bulls were down 14-3 going into the fourth quarter and ultimately took the loss 21-3. Bryce Archie threw for 234 yards and an interception, while Kelley Joiner had 22 yards on nine carries. Josh Hardeman was the lead receiver on 69 yards off two catches.

South Florida vs UAB Prediction

I’ll lean toward the Bulls. Both teams are coming off losses to good teams last weekend. For USF, they couldn’t get anything going on offense in their loss to Memphis. South Florida totaled 258 yards (24 rushing), 12 first downs, three turnovers, 18:22 in time of possession and 1-of-13 on third-down tries. That makes just 28 points combined across the last three Games, but to be fair USF has played some tough teams in that trio.

As for UAB, they gave up 515 yards (413 rushing) and 28 first downs to a great Army team, notching 303 yards (242 passing) and 18 first downs themselves. The Blazers should be able to find some more room this weekend, but I don’t think they’ll cover.

Andrew's Free Pick: USF Bulls -13.5
