The Minnesota Lynx and Seattle Storm meet Tuesday in WNBA action at the Climate Pledge Arena. Here’s a Seattle Storm vs Minnesota Lynx Prediction.
Minnesota Lynx Betting Preview
The Minnesota Lynx made the first round last year with 19 wins and enter year 15 under coach Cheryl Reeve. The Lynx are in a weird spot because they return their top scorers in Napheesa Collier, Kayla McBride and Diamond Miller, but the roster as a whole looks different as there’s only six players from a year ago on the roster. Regardless, Collier is coming off a superstar caliber season and gives the Lynx a fighting chance every night. Miller is coming off a strong rookie season and should be even better, while McBride has been the definition of consistency over the last decade. Courtney Williams shined in the preseason and if she can replicate what she did for Chicago, there’s potential in Minnesota. The Minnesota Lynx shouldn’t be slept on as they look for their 13th playoff trip in the last 14 years.
Seattle Storm Betting Preview
The Seattle Storm are coming off 11 wins last season and enter the third full year under coach Noelle Quinn. It looked like the Storm were in trouble, with Breanna Stewart leaving for New York and Sue Bird retiring. Jewell Loyd decided to step up by leading the WNBA in scoring and providing some sort of hope for the future. This offseason, the Storm added Nneka Ogwumike and Skylar Diggins-Smith to the mix, and it speeds up the chance to comPete right away. Yes, Ogwumike and Diggins-Smith are up there in age, but they’re still effective players who take some of the pressure off of Loyd. Mercedes Russell should be back in form after time missed, and Ezi Magbegor is coming off her best season yet. In no time, the Storm have positioned themselves to potentially be in that second tier, behind only the Aces and Liberty.
Seattle Storm vs Minnesota Lynx Injury Report
The Minnesota Lynx will be without Dorka Juhasz and Sika Kone for the season opener. The Seattle Storm don’t have a single player on their injury report.
Seattle Storm vs Minnesota Lynx Prediction
This should be a good Game between the Lynx, who are better than advertised, and a Storm squad that has potential to be the third-best team in the league. This is an early measuring stick Game for both sides. With that said, I do lean toward the Storm and the somewhat reasonable line. The Minnesota Lynx are banged up early with Juhasz and Kone on the injury list, and the Storm can be a nightmare at home where the crowd always shows up. I’m really excited to see the Storm and their potential with the additions they made. Give me the Storm on Tuesday night.
