The former Hoops captain, now manager of Ayr United, will be pulling on the boots for a Dukla select team, facing off against a St. Roch’s Juniors select side at James McGrory Park.

Kick-off is scheduled for 1pm, and it’s bound to be an exciting spectacle as Brown, known for his tenacity and leadership during his 14-year spell at Celtic, steps back onto the pitch.

Though he’s now more often found on the sidelines as a gaffer, today, he’ll be dusting off the cobwebs to raise money for a good cause.

Brown will be joined by fellow Celtic favourites Simon Donnelly and Charlie Mulgrew for the charity match, adding even more star power to the occasion.

Mulgrew, who shared many battles alongside Brown during their time at Celtic, will surely bring a familiar partnership to the field. Meanwhile, another ex-Hoops player, Donnelly, will be keen to show that his skills have stood the test of time.

Fans heading to James McGrory Park can expect a fun-filled afternoon. The charity match provides a fantastic opportunity to see some familiar faces back in action.

Brown’s return to playing, even if just for a charity fixture, is sure to spark fond memories for Celtic fans who watched him dominate the midfield for over a decade.

It’s not every day you get to see such legends back on the pitch, so supporters will be looking forward to seeing how much magic remains in those boots.

Kick-off is fast approaching, and it promises to be a brilliant afternoon of Football for a great cause.
