In this article we will formulate a San Francisco Giants vs NY Mets Prediction for this MLB Game on Wednesday, April 24th at Oracle Park.

Bad Loss for the Mets

The Mets offense only managed one run on Tuesday and they need to find a way to get the offense going here. The Mets are averaging 4.73 runs while their pitching is giving up 4.36 runs per Game. The offense is ranked 12th in the league while the pitching is ranked 14th. The biggest issue for the Mets has been their inconsistency. The Mets are averaging 1.05 home runs per Game which is 8th in baseball. Pete Alonso has hit seven home runs and driven in 12 RBIs so far this season. Catcher Francisco Alvarez is dealing with a thumb injury and will be out for at least another month.

Mets Need a Better Start from Manaea

Getting the start for the Mets will be Sean Manaea and he sits with a 1-1 record and an ERA of 4.12. In his last start against the Dodgers he went five innings giving up four hits and two runs. Two starts ago against the Kansas City Royals, he went 3.2 innings giving up nine hits and six earned runs.

Giants Look to Move Back to .500

The Giants were able to pick up a 5-1 win on Tuesday and now if they are able to win this Game they will move to 13-13. On Tuesday the Giants were led by Mike Yastrezemenki who finished with two hits and three RBIs. The Giants are averaging 4.17 runs while their pitching is giving up 4.92 runs per Game. The offense is ranked 18th while the pitching is ranked 25th. They are hitting .247 as a team which is 11th. Michael Conforto is having a strong season and has hit five home runs and driven in 16 RBIs.

Snell hasn’t Been Worth the Money

Blake Snell gets the start for the Giants and he has been mostly been a disappointment this season. Overall, Snell sits with an 0-3 record and an ERA of 11.57. In his last start against the Arizona Diamondbacks, he went 4.2 innings giving up nine hits and five earned runs. Two Games ago against the Tampa Bay Rays he went four innings giving up six hits and seven runs.

San Francisco Giants vs NY Mets Prediction

The Mets and Giants are both going to have no issue running up the score here. Snell has been really beat up, and a few more bad shots and he might need to skip a few starts. In his last start against the Diamondbacks he gave up five earned runs, and the Mets are going to score at least that off him here. The Giants offense is also going to have no issue running up the score Sean Manaea who gave up nine hits and six earned runs in his last start. Both teams are going to run up the score here, and the pick here is the over.
