Premier League fixtures today - your guide to Thursday's games
The Premier League's first full round of midweek fixtures comes to a close on Thursday evening with some appetising clashes.
There are two matches on offer for Premier League fans, with the likes of Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur in action towards the summit of the league table.
Here is your guide to Thursday's Premier League fixtures.
Everton vs Newcastle United
- Location: Liverpool, England
- Stadium: Goodison Park
- Date: Thursday 7 December
- Kick-off Time: 19:30 GMT / 14:30 ET / 11:30 PT
- Referee: Tim Robinson
- VAR: David Coote
Having secured back-to-back Premier League victories against Chelsea and Manchester United, Newcastle will feel confident heading to Goodison Park. The Magpies have been in impressive form despite a raft of injuries, but Everton, somewhat surprisingly, are also one of the form sides in the division.
The Toffees bounced back from a disheartening 3-0 home defeat to Man Utd when they Travelled to the City Ground last weekend, beating Nottingham Forest 1-0 thanks to Dwight McNeil's crisp strike, his first goal of the season after 21 wayward shots. Everton remain in the bottom three due to their ten-point deduction and Sean Dyche will be desperate to escape the relegation zone as soon as possible.
The bad news for the Merseyside club is that they have lost five of their last six with Newcastle, including home and away last season. However, Dyche has an impressive individual record against his opposite number Eddie Howe; defeating the Newcastle boss more often than any other coach in his career (seven victories).

Tottenham vs West Ham United
- Location: London, England
- Stadium: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
- Date: Thursday 7 December
- Kick-off Time: 20:15 GMT / 15:15 ET / 12:15 PT
- Referee: Michael Salisbury
- VAR: John Brooks
The final offering of the midweek Premier League fixtures is a London derby, with Spurs playing host to West Ham United on Thursday night.
Tottenham put a run of three straight Premier League defeats to an end with a thrilling 3-3 draw away to Manchester City on Sunday, a game that provided plenty of drama and controversy. But Spurs have been sliding down the table in recent weeks and need a victory over the Irons to get back on track.
West Ham are unbeaten in five Games across all comPetitions but could only manage a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at the weekend. David Moyes' side haven't beaten Spurs in their last four meetings and are without a victory away from home in this fixture since 2019.
