Despite strong interest and inquiries from both QPR and Celtic, Blackburn has secured the 22-year-old’s services for the upcoming season.

Beck’s previous loan spells at Dundee had sparked interest from several clubs.

Celtic, who were actively seeking reinforcements at left-back, considered Beck a viable target and were open to a permanent transfer, with Liverpool setting his price at £3 million.

Celtic were previously interested in the left-back in January, but after playing for Liverpool, a move to Glasgow was ruled out by Fifa rules.

However, with Beck now headed to Blackburn, Celtic have shifted their focus and are closing in on a deal to bring Barcelona’s Alex Valle to Parkhead on a loan agreement. This move will fill the gap in their squad left by the conclusion of the Beck rumours.

Valle is in Glasgow and completing a medical.
