Noel Gallagher Delivers his Celtic Title Verdict
Oasis legend Noel Gallagher has thrown his support behind Celtic in the Scottish Premiership title race, tipping the Bhoys to triumph over Rangers.
This season’s battle for the top spot has been intensely close, with Celtic and Rangers locked in a fierce contest.
Despite Rangers having a Game in hand that could see them overtake their Glasgow rivals, Gallagher believes Celtic will come out on top.
The musician made his prediction while speaking on the talkSPORT Breakfast Show, hosted by Rangers’ Ally McCoist and Celtic supporter Alan Brazil.
McCoist couldn’t resist asking Gallagher for his take on who would win the Scottish Premiership. Initially, Gallagher noted the intensity of the recent Glasgow Derby, which ended in a dramatic 3-3 draw, suggesting Rangers were momentarily in the “driving seat.”
However, Brazil quickly pointed to the advantage Celtic could have with another home derby to come, played in front of 60,000 Celtic fans at Parkhead. Conceded by the ambience and perhaps the home advantage, Gallagher declared, “Well, yeah. I have got to say the Bhoys will do it, yeah.”
