The Week 8 installment of Monday Night Football pits the New York Giants against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Acrisure Stadium. It is the second consecutive primetime game for the Steelers and their second in a row with a New York squad on the other side of the field, having taken care of the Jets on Sunday Night Football in Week 7. Pittsburgh now heads into this contest at 5-2, while New York is saddled with a 2-5 record. Let’s get into my Giants vs Steelers Same Game Parlay picks for this matchup, which get underway at 8:15 pm ET on ABC and ESPN. I cashed my SNF Cowboys vs 49ers Same Game Parlay at +600 odds, so let’s make it 2 in a row! You can also find out our NFL picks for tonight and every game throughout the season after we went 11-3 on totals yesterday!

Steelers -5.5 (-120)

Najee Harris to record 80+ rushing yards (+122)

Daniel Jones to record 200+ passing yards (+120)

Giants vs Steelers Same Game Parlay odds: +642

Part of the value in a Same Game Parlay, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is some of the plan here, as Pittsburgh running back Najee Harris racking up plenty of yards would obviously work well with a win and cover by the Steelers. At the same time, plays that aren’t correlated drive up the overall payout of the parlay. That is the case with backing New York quarterback Daniel Jones to have a productive night through the air. But even if he does, there is no reason why the home team can’t get the job done. Let’s break down each of the 3 legs.

Pittsburgh Steelers -5.5 over New York Giants (-120)

The Steelers have looked pretty good all year long – especially on defense – and the offense’s first go-around with Russell Wilson under center was encouraging. Wilson took over from Justin Fields as QB1 in Week 7 and promptly led the way to a blowout of the Jets. The veteran signal-caller threw for 264 yards without getting intercepted and he accounted for 3 total touchdowns (2 passing, 1 rushing). On the other side of the ball, a fearsome Pittsburgh defense gets to face a vulnerable New York offense. The Giants have lost their last 2 outings 17-7 to the Cincinnati Bengals and 28-3 to the Philadelphia Eagles. Adding insult to injury (or vice versa), offensive tackle Andrew Thomas is on injured reserve due to a foot injury. That really isn’t what you want when you have to pass-block T.J. Watt. Give me the Steelers to win without too much trouble.

Najee Harris to record 80+ rushing yards (+122)

I have been on the Harris bandwagon for much of this season and there is certainly no reason to get off it now. The Alabama product is coming off his 2 best performances of the season, as he produced 104 yards and 1 touchdown on 14 carries against the Las Vegas Raiders before getting a season-high 21 touches for 102 yards and another TD against the Jets last weekend. Harris has toted the rock 117 times through 8 Games and no other running back on the Steelers’ roster has gotten more than 32 carries. He will, of course, continue to benefit from a sizable workload. On Monday, Harris will meet a New York defense that is #6 in the league against the pass and #25 against the run. In fact, the Giants are dead last in the NFL in yards per rushing attempt allowed at 5.4. Harris could run wild in this one.

Daniel Jones to record 200+ passing yards (+120)

This really doesn’t coNFLict at all with Pittsburgh covering, because New York will have to take to the air if it is playing from behind. That would mean more pass attempts and therefore more passing yards for Jones. He was held to 99 yards by Philadelphia last week, but that was obviously an aberration as opposed to the rule. The former Duke standout had previously exceeded the 200-yard mark in 4 straight Games. Jones now faces a Pittsburgh defense that surprisingly isn’t great against the pass. It is allowing 217.3 yards per contest on 7.1 yards per attempt and – even with Watt – has generated a modest 15 sacks. All things considered, this is a good sport for Jones to put up decent numbers.
