The Kansas City Royals and the Minnesota Twins meet Tuesday in MLB action from Target Field. Here’s a Minnesota Twins vs Kansas City Royals prediction. This will be the second installment in a three-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Twins vs Royals pick.

Kansas City Royals Betting Preview

The Royals played the St. Louis Cardinals over the weekend. Kansas City lost 8-5 in the Friday matchup but evened things up with an 8-3 Saturday win. In the Monday opener versus the Twins, Kansas City gave up six runs in the second inning on the way to an 8-3 loss. Starter Brady Singer lasted 5.0 innings with six earned.

Starter for Tuesday will be the Royals’ Seth Lugo. This year Lugo is 13-6 with a 2.72 ERA in 24 starts. Lugo is 53-37 with a 3.34 ERA in 325 career Games (88 starts).

Minnesota Twins Betting Preview

Over on the Twins’ side, they played the Cleveland Guardians in their last series. Minnesota won the first two Games 4-2 and 6-3 before falling 2-1 and 5-3 in the remaining pair. On Monday the Twins bagged 10 hits in the win. Pablo Lopez managed 6.0 innings in the start with two earned run.

In the starter slot for Game two the Twins didn’t immediately announce a name.

Minnesota Twins vs Kansas City Royals Prediction

I’ll try the Twins in this one. Most of that is due to Lugo’s recent struggles, though. On August 1 versus Detroit Lugo posted a win with 8.0 innings and one earned run. In the other two of his last three starts however, Lugo is 0-2 with 10 earned in 11.1 innings combined.

On Tuesday the Twins got a very nice pitching performance across the board. After Lopez, the bullpen cleaned up with 3.0 innings, no earned, two hits, no walks and four Ks. If Minnesota can hang a few runs on Lugo the relievers should take care of the rest.
