The New York Mets and the Miami Marlins meet Sunday in MLB action from LoanDepot Park. Here’s a Miami Marlins vs NY Mets Prediction. This will be the third installment in a four-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the Game.

New York Mets Betting Preview

In their last set, the Mets took on the Colorado Rockies. New York won the first two installments of that series 7-6 and 7-3 before an 8-5 loss Sunday. After a 6-4 opener loss to the Marlins, on Saturday New York posted six hits in a tight 1-0 win. Starter Luis Severino put up 6.0 innings with two hits and three walks.

In the starter slot for the Mets on Sunday it’ll be Christian Scott. This year Scott is 0-2 with a 4.36 ERA in the first eight starts of his career.

Miami Marlins Betting Preview

Over on the Marlins’ side, they played the Cincinnati Reds last weekend. Miami lost the first two Games 7-4 and 10-6 but staved off the sweep with a 3-2 victory in the finale. In their Saturday matchup the Marlins got two of four hits from Jesus Sanchez. Roddery Munoz put up 5.0 innings with just the one earned on three hits and three walks.

It’ll be Trevor Rogers in the starter role for the Marlins on Sunday. This season so far Rogers is 1-9 with a 4.72 ERA in 19 starts. Rogers is 14-32 with a 4.27 career ERA in 78 starts.

Miami Marlins vs NY Mets Prediction

I’ll take a stab on the Marlins again in the finale. Rogers’ record isn’t so great this year but he’s not pitching badly lately. Over his last two outings Rogers has four earned in 11.0 innings without a decision. As for Scott, he’s given up nine earned over 15.2 innings in his last three starts combined.

On Saturday the Marlins performed admirably out of the bullpen but the offense couldn’t crack through. If Miami can get their bats going Sunday though, I can see them posting another

comPetitive effort.
