The New York Mets and the Miami Marlins meet Saturday in MLB action from LoanDepot Park. Here’s a Miami Marlins vs NY Mets Prediction. This will be the second installment in a four-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for the Game.

New York Mets Betting Preview

In their last series before the All-Star break the Mets took on the Colorado Rockies. In that one New York won the first pair 7-6 and 7-3 before an 8-5 loss in the finale. On Friday versus Miami, the Mets fell in a tough one 6-4. Sean Manaea put up 5.0 innings with five earned runs in the start.

In the starter slot for the Saturday Game New York will go with Jose Quintana. Over 19 starts this year Quintana is 4-6 with a 4.13 ERA. In his 347 career Games (321 starts) Quintana is 96-99 with a 3.76 ERA.

Miami Marlins Betting Preview

Over on the Marlins’ side, they played the Cincinnati Reds in their last series. Miami lost the first two Games of that set but staved off the sweep with a 3-2 win in the finale. In their Friday opener the Marlins out-hit the Mets 10-8. Starting pitcher Edward Cabrera left after 4.2 innings and one earned on five hits and five walks.

Roddery Munoz will take the mound for the start on Saturday for Miami. This year Munoz is 1-4 with a 5.47 ERA in the first 10 Games (nine starts) of his career.

Miami Marlins vs NY Mets Prediction

I might take a stab on the Marlins. Probably not touching this one in reality, though. Munoz hasn’t been spectacular over his last few starts. He’s coming off four earned in 6.2 innings in a loss to Houston, and gave up four earned in 8.2 innings prior to that. Still, if Munoz can muscle out a quality start here the Marlins should be in contention.

On Friday Miami got off to a great 4-0 start then hit some bumps along the way. The back end of the pen came through, but the Marlins used six arms in total along the way to the win. Munoz needs to post some quality innings here.
