The Arizona Diamondbacks and the Miami Marlins meet Monday in MLB action from LoanDepot Park. Here’s a Miami Marlins vs Arizona Diamondbacks prediction. This will be the first installment in a three-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Marlins vs Diamondbacks pick.

Arizona Diamondbacks Betting Preview

The Diamondbacks played the Tampa Bay Rays over the weekend. Arizona lost the first two Games, then in the Sunday finale the Diamondbacks took a tough walk-off loss 8-7 in 12 innings. Starter Merrill Kelly gave up six earned in 5.0 innings of work.

In the starter slot for Monday the Diamondbacks didn’t immediately announce a name.

Over on the Marlins’ side, they took on the New York Mets in their last set. Miami lost the first two Games as well. On Sunday the Marlins eked out a 3-2 victory. Starter Valente Bellozo managed two earned on seven hits and two walks in 5.1 frames.

As starter for Monday Miami didn’t immediately make it official either. Edward Cabrera is pencilled in to start Tuesday and Roddery Munoz is set to take the Wednesday finale, however.

Miami Marlins vs Arizona Diamondbacks Prediction

I might try Miami here. The Marlins weren’t spectacular on the road against the Mets over the weekend, but they were able to halt a three-Game losing streak with a decent effort on Sunday. Miami has been scoring pretty well overall lately, with three or more runs in six of their last seven outings. The issue is going to be in preventing scoring on the other side, however; the Marlins have given up four or more runs in five of those seven Games.

This opener is likely going to require a pretty strong outing from Miami, which may spoil their chances at an opener W. The Marlins might be worth it as a value play, though.
